Lesson Two: Clarify your Message

In this video, we will chat about what it means to embrace your message. When you first start out as a speaker, the temptation will be to focus on selling yourself. Instead, focus on the heart of your message. Ultimately, that is what will draw people to you. Having a clear idea of what your message will help you in so many ways, including refining your audience, simplifying your lessons, and balancing speaking with other life stuff.

Your Message

Learning to refine your message is a big part of beginning your speaking journey. If you have come this far, you may well know what that message is already. 

What to do with It

Communicating that message via website, branding, blog posts, etc. Chances are good what draws people to you is what you have to say, rather than just you for the sake of you. Focusing on selling your message keeps the focus on the part that will make the difference, and honestly, keeps you humble.
