If you are here, then you likely already know that you have a calling to this good work. Me too! As we kick off this course, I just want you to know that you are in good company, and we are doing a blessed work together!
For this lesson, watch the video and then move on to the written portion below. In the lesson summary you will find notes for the video and the written portion, a worksheet for helping you identify the motivations of your heart as you begin this journey. |
Your Calling |
Appreciating our role in God's kingdom as those who proclaim, teach and admonish others through speaking will go a long way to inspiring us to move into the aspects of this ministry that may be more difficult. As a Christian speaker, we don't just want to be in front of people for the sake of being in front of people, but to reflect an aspect of God through whatever our topics may be.
In the speaking role, we have the ability to reflect God to many people at one time, and to share a message that is unique to us and our experiences. Take a few moments and reflect on your heart-level motivation for being a speaker. |
Your Message |
The topics you speak on don't have to be straight out of Scripture, per se t0 be used in a unique way to benefit God's kingdom. Maybe you are speaking on techniques on photography, how to build a website or how to cope with postpartum depression.
