Retreats: Extras
![]() Little extras can make ladies days fun and memorable.
Whether it's a gift bag with their name on it, or a mini-composition notebook waiting for them at their seat, these things can help make your retreat something really special and memorable for your sisters in Christ. A LogoIt seems a small thing, but having a creative logo and title for your weekend can do so much to make your day seemed well planned and organized. It can be something simple like a cute font and clipart from the internet, or if you are lucky (like me) you have a friend who can whip up something perfect for your weekend. Using this logo your flyers, info sheets, registration forms, tshirts and bulletin advertisements can really help build excitement for your event!
Check the sidebar for a downloadable file of a logo for the Life is a Game theme. T-ShirtsIt is so fun to be able to offer your ladies a retreat tshirt! It is fun to see them worn during the retreat, and even more fun to see them afterwards at church and around town. There are several very reuputable tshirt companies that make this very reasonable, and easy to great and order.
It is always a fun way to remember a wonderful experience you had together! Room SignsIf you are having an away retreat, then it is fun for the ladies to find a little something waiting for them in their rooms or on their beds with their name on it. It is most fun to do something consistent with the theme. I'd suggest to plan something easy to create or print and tack onto the mirror in each room.
It is also very helpful to leave an agenda and room list in each room. This helps with keeping everyone on track as well. Door PrizesIf your budget allows for door prizes, then gift cards or some other small little treat is great fun. We love to draw names, or even give them as rewards for winning games.
If your budget does not allow for purchasing door prizes, have the ladies each bring a "favorite thing" with them to give away. Some ideas are favorite lipstick or nail color, drink, pair of socks, set of pens, books, bubble bath, brand of coffee, etc. It SO so fun to share favorite things with your sisters. You can draw names OR incorporate the Funny Money activity. So fun. Water/CoffeeDepending on your venue and your budget, you may have the option of having a small table or cooler with some drinks and simple snacks for the girls. It's really great to be able to grab something to sip or snack on while listening to a great speaker, or watching a friend being silly!
