Whew. We have a big part of the EYN study worked out! I got a peek at my cover today!
Actually, I got a peek at one yesterday too and honestly ..I hated it. I really wanted to cry. When I pulled up the picture I had a terrible sinking feeling. Part of its it that I LOVE. LOVE the one I have been using as I have edited and shared my study these last couple of years. There may be some emotional connection to it, as it was lovingly created for by a sweet friend of mine who did not hate me at the end of the process :)
This study and that cover have been bffs and the idea of letting it go has been a sad one for me. Really, I don't know why we have to let it go except that I think my publisher wants for their publications to be wholly theirs to prevent any complications with rights and what not. Still, I was holding out for this cover and I to see it through. It is not to be, but after a day of working on this new one I think that we will retire that one with much love and respect and welcome the new face of the EYN study with much love. :)
Its not ready to share yet, but let me say that just seeing it makes me realize that maybe..just MAYBE this thing will happen and this is what it looks like :)
My editor is saying that this baby should be "birthed" on about end of September! I am not in that ready-to-be-done phase of things yet, so that is good. Still enjoying the process ...so far.
